Yes. Carry out a strand test before every application. Do not proceed if the test section becomes fragile, mushy, discoloured, weakened or breaks.
How long should the product process?
After all sections are evenly covered, allow the product to sit on the hair for 40–60 minutes.
What flat-iron temperature should be used?
Use up to 200°C for extra coarse or curly hair, 190–200°C for normal or resistant hair, and a maximum of 180°C for fine, damaged, bleached or chemically processed hair after a satisfactory strand test. Never exceed 200°C.
How many flat-iron passes are required?
Use 5–10 slow, controlled passes on small 1-inch sections. Use a maximum of five passes for fine or damaged hair and five or fewer for bleached or chemically damaged hair.
How long can the result last?
Results may last for several months with correct professional application and suitable aftercare. Individual results vary.
When can the hair be washed?
The hair should be washed a couple of days after the application is done. Don't wash it straight away on the day of the application.
What aftercare should be used?
Use Kerasmooth sulphate-free shampoo and conditioner and blow-dry properly after washing.
